The obvious reason for this is avoiding ants and insects nesting in small hooks and corners, but the moment dust accumulates on your furniture and moisture reaches it, it will harder to the surface and demand heavy cleaning, which in turn will once again damage the items.
• Glass is a difficult medium to store, so it’s wise to purchase a roll of tape specially designed for glass and stick a large ‘X’ on it, this will prevent it from cracking or the entire piece from shattering. This method is applicable for large mirrors, glass tabletops or even television screens. After you’ve applied the tape cover the items with corrugated paper and finally a thick plastic protective sheet. With furniture storage, it’s always better to rather be safe than sorry.
