The British noblemen also sought after safe and secure storage for their precious belongings whilst away, and would often turn to banks for safekeeping. The banks would then in turn go to moving companies who would offer secure lofts or stables with guards to look after the crates of personal items.

History is there so we can learn from our past mistakes; however this is not the case in most instances. The only instance where they might be permitted to access your goods is when you either failed to pay rent for a certain amount of time or if the manager suspects illegal activities.
