Which types of items can be stored in South Africa storage units?

Non-hazardous materials, legally owned by the person who stores the items can be stored. Highly flammable items, items belonging to other persons not knowing or who have not agreed to storage of such products, and items illegally obtained cannot be stored. In general every storage facility will have terms and conditions. Make sure you read and understand the terms and conditions for storage before you proceed with placement of goods.

Are only long term contracts available or can one store items on a daily basis?

Many South Africa storage units only offer long term storage facilities. We recognize that people may need storage space for a few days, weeks, months or even years and as such offer clients the convenience of daily, weekly and monthly storage facilities.

When will one normally make use of the daily South Africa storage units?

Normally when one is moving from one house to another, but cannot yet move into a house since it is still occupied, while at the same time having to be out of the one house as other people will be moving in, you will make use of daily storage facilities. You may for instance, want to go away for a few days, but don’t want to leave the valuable items at home during that time. Another example is when you have just moved to another town in Gauteng, but still need to find a place to stay. A final example will be when someone is doing renovations on part of the home and want the items to be out of harms way while doing so.
